Week of 3/16/26
Core Value – Work Ethic
Highlighted HS Varsity Baseball Athlete of the Week:
Jack Duff
Jack has continuously displayed a great work ethic at the beginning of this season. Not only as he works on his fundamentals but also as he helps with field work. He is always ready to help when there is something that needs to be done. Jack also hit his first homerun of his high school career this weekend in our 12-3 win over Warden!
Highlighted HS JV Baseball Athlete of the Week:
Connor Barlow
Connor has impressed the coaches with his work ethic. It is clear he has put in the work before practice began and continues to do so at each practice. We are thankful for Connor’s dedication to improving his skills and wish him a successful season.
Highlighted HS Varsity Softball Athlete of the Week:
Flora De Donato
Flora has invested a lot of time and effort over the past year to prepare for this first full Varsity season. She has worked tirelessly to improve as a pitcher and hitter and it shows. Each day of practice, Flora is one who gives her all and continues to work even if something isn't perfect. Her desire to succeed drives her and will pay off in the long run for sure!
Highlighted HS JV Softball Athlete of the Week:
Layla Malsom
Layla brings great effort and attitude towards everything she does in softball. Her willingness to work at all the aspects of the game is evident whether she is batting, fielding, or pitching. We appreciate Layla's example of what it looks like to put in the work every day!
Highlighted HS Golf Athlete of the Week:
Jackson Smith
Jackson’s strong work ethic is widely regarded as one of the most valuable, yet increasingly rare, assets in young adults. He is the type of person who maintains inner peace through self-mastery, focusing on the appropriate response to hardship rather than reacting emotionally. He encapsulates the deeply held values, living out his faith through actions, showcasing a commitment to discipline, the strength of perseverance, and the ability to lead and adapt. Great job Jackson, and congratulations on being selected among your peers as one of the Golf Team Captains.
Highlighted HS Girls Track Athlete of the Week:
Selah Boone
Selah is faithful and works hard at every practice. She has a quiet determination about her as she focuses on her training and goals. She is joyful at practice and listens well to coaches.
Highlighted HS Boys Track Athlete of the Week:
Aiden Goodman
Aiden, a sprinter on our track team, has such a fantastic attitude while fully applying himself every day in every way. He holds nothing back. The track coaches have been impressed, not only by his determination and grit, but by his humility that fuels his work ethic. He has been a joy to coach!
Highlighted Boys Soccer Athletes of the Week:
Ezra Fish
Ezra came into practice this year as one of our hardest workers in conditioning. Ezra was also one of our hardest workers in a tough first game of the year, against a strong Royal School program.
