Week of 4/27/2026

Core Value – Respect

Highlighted HS Varsity Baseball Athlete of the Week:

Preston Mortlock

Preston leads the team in batting with a .447 average, and he is a team favorite with his humor. Preston has always shown an attitude of respect and as a senior he sets the tone for the rest of the team in showing respect.

Highlighted HS JV Baseball Athlete of the Week:

Easton Baker

Easton is a very good baseball player, as well as a strong competitor and leader on our team. He is also very respectful to coaches, teammates, and officials. Appreciate you, Bake!

Highlighted HS Varsity Softball Athlete of the Week:

Amy Coriell

Amy has always been a bright spot in our program, shining her positivity every day!  Amy respects the game, her coaches, her teammates, and her opponents. She is so coachable and is always learning and getting better in every situation. Amy is so genuinely happy for others when they do well and humble when she does something like hitting a home run!

Highlighted HS JV Softball Athlete of the Week:

Kinsley Hagel

Kinsley shows respect by uplifting her teammates, honoring her coaches, and competing with integrity every time she steps on the field.  She shows good sportsmanship; wins with humility, loses with grace.

Highlighted HS Golf Athlete of the Week:

Cohan Bani

Cohan Bani’s respect in golf and religion overlaps significantly through shared values of integrity, humility, and strict adherence to the rules, fostering a culture of courtesy. He emphasizes self-control, honor, and treating others with dignity. Cohen practices patience and accepts adversity with grace, leaving the humility to tame his nature. He has fostered values, bonding and building friendships, and been parable of life where he lets God do the work of his specific parallels.

Highlighted HS Track Athletes of the Week:

Madelyn Robertson

Madelyn consistently shows genuine respect to teammates, coaches, and competitors. Her attitude and actions reflect Christ’s love both on and off the track. She uplifts others with kindness and honors Jesus in all she does. Her example inspires us all to compete and live with integrity and grace. Congratulations, Madelyn! You glorify God through your respect and leadership.

David Phillips

David is consistently demonstrating outstanding respect on and off the track. David leads by example, encourages his teammates, and treats everyone with kindness and fairness. His gracious attitude and sportsmanship reflect Jesus' character to the team and to other teams. Congratulations, David! Your respect and servant's heart set a standard for us all.

Highlighted Boys Soccer Athletes of the Week:

Eli McConnell

Eli is such a fantastic addition to our team and a respectful athlete. Respectful to both coaches and his teammates, he is an individual that the rest of the team gravitates to and he is always eager to help the team out in any way that’s needed. Eli has a very bright future with the trajectory he is on!

Highlighted JH Baseball Athlete of the Week:

Lucas Scott

This week, we would like to recognize Lucas Scott for the respect he consistently shows to his coaches and teammates. It’s hard to find a young man who demonstrates that level of respect day in and day out, regardless of the situation. Lucas also displayed that same character off the field, as he showed genuine respect and care toward his grandfather while he was visiting. That kind of behavior speaks volumes about who he is, not just as a player, but as a person. Lucas sets a great example for those around him, and we’re proud to have him as part of our team.

Highlighted JH Softball Athlete of the Week:

Melody De Donato

Melody De Donato brings great energy to the team and is always having fun while still giving her best effort every day. She is a highly talented player who uses her abilities to help others, encourages her teammates, and is willing to play wherever she is needed for the good of the team. Melody reflects Christ through her joyful spirit, dedication, and the positive impact she has on everyone around her.
