JH/ HS Athletic Highlights

Sept 19th  Week of Highlights:

Highlighted HS Varsity Volleyball Athlete of the Week:

Charissa had a great tournament this past weekend. She played outstanding, leading the team with 22 aces in 6 matches. She also led our team this week in assists.  Way to go Charissa!!!

Highlighted HS JV Volleyball Athlete of the Week:

Lindsey Hart

Lindsey is the player of the week for our JV team. Lindsey played extremely well in our games this last week. She had great serves to help us win our games!

Highlighted HS Varsity Football Athlete of the Week:

Ryan Waters

Ryan had a touchdown on offense and an interception on defense in the close game against Riverview last Friday.  Nice work, Ryan!

Highlighted HS JV Football Athlete of the Week:

Ben Bak

Ben has been playing varsity snaps and has been working very hard in practice; competing with everyone around him. Keep it up, Ben!

Highlighted HS Girls Soccer Athlete of the Week:

Makenzie Ritchie

Makenzie was dominant and controlled the central midfield against two larger 1A schools while also scoring a goal to support our defense.  Impressive work!

Highlighted Girls HS Cross Country Athlete of the Week:

Audra Mirante

Audra Mirante ran her first 5000 meter cross country race at the Asotin Invite on Saturday.  She finished as the #2 girl on the team, running hard and challenging herself to keep pushing even when she was feeling tired!

Highlighted Boys HS Cross Country Athlete of the Week:

Nate Pranter

Nate ran tough and finished 17th at the Asotin Invite on Saturday against a fast field of runners from Idaho and Washington.  He was a leader and support to his JV teammates by warming up with them, praying with them, and cheering them on during their race.

Highlighted Cheer Athlete of the Week:

Ava Russo

Ava has been a rockstar as a captain this year, and she has guided this team amazingly through their first 2 games. She continues to find new cheers to teach the team.  Ava always leads the team with a positive attitude no matter how tired of busy she is (and she IS busy!)

Highlighted JH Cross Country Athlete of the Week:

Oliyad Boone

Oliyad has displayed amazing work ethic this past week at practice.   He has gone above and beyond each day to push himself and his team to give their best. We are excited to see him race this week!

Lauralee was a top scorer for the team in the first game and victory vs. Valley Christian. She also swung up to help the varsity secure their first win of the season. Great work, Lollie!

Ben is working very hard at his football skills and has really improved! Nice job, Ben!
