Athlete Healthcare
The Crusader Athletics Department has been able to secure the services of Dr. Laura Fralich as our Team Physician/Medical Director. Dr. Laura Fralich will work in collaboration with the Athletic Trainers contracted to provide high quality patient care for our Crusader Athletes. Our Athletic Trainers, in collaboration with the Team Physician/Medical Director, will have final authority for all Return-To-Play (RTP) decisions. This will allow NWCS to provide consistent patient centered care in the best interest of our student-athletes.
Other Healthcare Professionals
Historically, NWCS has had a number of highly qualified, very skilled, licensed healthcare professionals (i.e. PTs, DCs, RNs, MDs, ATs, etc.) willing to assist in patient care for our athletes. We continue to welcome other professionals to support our student athletes.
As a licensed healthcare provider in Washington, willing to support Athletic Trainers on gameday, you MUST introduce yourself to the onsite Athletic Trainer (AT) prior to the contest. The ATs will inform you of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) for the specific venue and provide instructions for you in the event of an emergency in which additional assistance may be needed. Again, please be reminded that the onsite AT has the authority to provide patient care and make RTP decisions on behalf of Crusader Athletics.
