Mike Prince
I have been passionate about golf since the first time
swinging a golf club with a grass whip and eventually hitting golf balls in my
grandmother’s field. Since that time, I have never lost my passion and
love for golf. I have hit golf balls off the flight deck of ships while
transiting through the ocean, at the Al-Faw Palace in Baghdad and courses
throughout the world, during port calls. My real golf experience comes
from working a TPC Louisiana as a ground’s keeper, starter, pro shop and as a
caddy. I experienced pro level golf during two Zurich Classics and
multiple other tournaments.
I enlisted in the Navy in June 1988, promoted from E1-E7
and then in 2001 selected as a Naval Officer and promoted from O-1 - O-5,
retiring in November 2022. While in the Navy I graduated from Embry Riddle
Aeronautical University with a Business Administration degree. I earned a
Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War
College and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of
Phoenix.
I married Rebecca Prince 31 years ago and we have two kids.
Our son Kristopher is in his junior year at Carroll College and our daughter,
Mackenzie is in her junior year at Northwest Christian. It is
an honor and privilege to join the Northwest Christian family. I have been
blessed throughout my life and want to continue serving the Lord in all that I
do. God has been my constant guide and although I am thankful for
the many successes God has blessed me with, I have also had some failures,
which humbled me and strengthened my faith and my identity in Christ.
I am grateful and thankful for the people, experiences,
things, and places in my life that have made me the person I am today, I
couldn’t have accomplished it alone. Serving the Lord is my highest
priority. I am excited to share my love for the game of golf, my
experience instructing the game of golf, and to help mentor and encourage the
NWC athletes in their walk with the Lord.
