Marisa Stanley
Marisa Stanley began her
coaching career in 2004 with a wonderful program called Upward. It started with
the first season coaching kids with special needs and just the light in their
eye triggered her passion to help make a difference and volunteer her time.
Since then, Marisa has completed 24 seasons between Upward Cheer Basketball and
Football (all ages from K-12), as well as a cheer commissioner for Upward Flag
football for the past 13 years and continuing.
She has also continued to learn basic stunting with the local
Spokane Wolfpack Cheer with a long-time friend. She may not have cheered
herself, but you may see her now jumping in and cheering with the girls. Her
passion continues to grow, and she wants to be a positive role model for the
ladies and give them the best experience possible.
“The best reward is watching the ladies from day one, to seeing
their confidence grow and the smiles light up on their faces.”
