John Fazio
John has been involved with NBC Camps for 25
years and now serves as the organization’s Vice President. Each summer he runs
several weeks of overnight camps hosted at Whitworth University and oversees
directors in numerous other regions. In addition to camps and clinics, he has
15+ years of experience conducting individual basketball training and has
coached AAU, YMCA, grade school, high school tournament teams, three NBC
international travel teams (Italy 2006, UK 2013, Germany 2022), and college
club basketball teams. He coached the Whitworth Men's Club Team to regional
championships in 2017 and 2020.
He
spearheaded the creation of online basketball training programs for NBC Camps
and US Sports/Nike Camps during 2020-2021, and has worked as a certified
basketball official. John has retained his USA Youth Basketball Coaching Gold
License since 2016. He believes strongly in the impact and influence sports
have on the development of young athletes as people.
Prior to
joining NBC Camps, John earned a degree in communications from Central
Washington University and worked as a television sports anchor at KVEW News in
Kennewick, WA.
He is
married to the world’s greatest kindergarten teacher and has three children,
one graduated from NWC in 2023 and two currently NWC students.
